The Raleigh County Community Action Association Head Start Program provides services to 381 children, ages 3-5, and their families at 8 sites throughout Raleigh County. Services include early childhood development and pre-kindergarten education with emphasis on early literacy, early numeracy, and school readiness. Head Start children receive free health services and nutritious meals. Mental health and disabilities services are available for children and families with special needs. Transportation is provided for children to attend school in their service area.

RCCAA Head Start offers half-day and full day programs in safe environments in a variety of settings within Raleigh County.
