Crystal D. Alonso

Crystal D. Alonso serves as the Executive Director at RCCAA, drawing upon more than a decade of dedicated service with the agency. Her multifaceted background—spanning the legal field, grant writing, community development, and human resources—equips her with a unique perspective to navigate complex challenges and drive meaningful progress. Crystal’s expertise allows her to bridge gaps between policy and practice, ensuring that programs are both innovative and impactful for the communities RCCAA serves.

Driven by a deep commitment to advocacy, Crystal is passionate about empowering individuals and fostering inclusive opportunities. Her leadership style is defined by empathy, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of positive change. Colleagues and stakeholders alike value her strategic vision and unwavering integrity, knowing she approaches every initiative with both a sharp mind and a compassionate heart. David Crone

David Crone is the Operations/Transportation Director for the Raleigh County Community Action Association (RCCAA). He started with RCCAA as a driver in April 2019 and was named Operations/Transportation Director in April 2022. David is dedicated to providing safe and reliable transportation for our community. In his spare time, he officiates/umpires for the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission (WVSSAC) and state little leagues.

 
 

Avis Salaam

Avis Salaam has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She also has Master’s degree in Addiction Counseling. She has worked for RCCAA Head Start for twenty-four years. Throughout her employment, she has worked in the classroom as a teacher, staff mentor, and center manager. Her most recent position was the health and disabilities specialist for Head Start/Early Head Start programs. Avis is a devoted mother of four children, and four grandchildren. In her spare time, she also works in the community planning, organizing and managing local food drives, clothing drives and preparing meals. With a plethora of experience, Avis provides structure and support for the HS/EHS program. RCCAA is honored to have her leading our largest department and we are confident that she will continue to serve the program well.

Theo Greer

Theo Greer is the Maintenance Supervisor here at RCCAA. He has been with the agency for over 17 years. He along with his team ensure all of our maintenance needs are taken care of.
